*Main Purpose*
To provide leadership and motivation to all Engineering Staff and ensure all maintenance and servicing of PSV vehicles is planned, managed and carried out within the specified Health & Safety and Budget parameters, while ensuring compliance to Group Engineering Procedures as well as any relevant legislative requirements.
*Main Areas of Responsibility*
· To supervise the daily running of the depot and all engineering staff.
· To lead and motivate the staff.
· To ensure the PSV Vehicle fleet is maintained to Group Engineering Standard and to carry out audits as required.
· To fully comply with all Health & Safety / Environmental legislation and, in turn, Group policies.
· To provide guidance to other staff as required.
· Communicate effectively with colleagues and superiors.
· Maintain and develop technical skills as required.
· Ensure all vehicle related paperwork is completed to a high standard.
*Technical Knowledge and Training*
· Minimum Level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent (i.e. City & Guilds level 1 & 2) inheavy vehicle (PSV/HGV) repair and maintenance.
A strong engineering background with proven experience in maintenance, repair and overhaul of heavy vehicles.
