Position: HGV/Bus Mechanics
Location: Derby
Job Type: Permanent
Payrate: £21 per hour for day shifts / £23 per hour for night shifts.
Shifts: Day and night availability (hours vary slightly depending on depot)

Job Summary:
As a successful PSV Mechanic, you will be instrumental in the maintenance of our client's buses, engaging in diagnostics, repairs, and servicing. Responsibilities for the PSV Mechanic:
* Conduct safety checks and adhere to safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
* Participate in equipment installations and upgrades as needed.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
* Carry out maintenance and repairs on all bus vehicles.
* Handle vehicles carefully, taking necessary precautions in the workshop and/or customer premises.
* Diagnose and rectify faults.
* Plan, prioritize, and execute the maintenance workload for site engineering personnel.
* Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Candidate Requirements:
* NVQ Level 2/3 in heavy vehicle maintenance.
* Proven experience in a maintenance role working on heavy vehicle systems.
* Relevant technical qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Efficient, neat, and disciplined commercial vehicle technician.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Dedication to workplace safety and adherence to safety guidelines.
