Reporting directly to the Lead Psychologist, you will be responsible for individual and group interventions, diagnostic and cognitive assessments, MDT working and risk assessments. You will also facilitate staff reflective practice sessions and be requested to design and deliver training.

As a Psychologist, you will have experience and knowledge in carrying a service user's caseload, including assessing complex needs and designing and delivering specialist psychological treatments to support their care plans.

As a Psychologist you will be:

• Participating in the assessment of referrals, and to provide initial assessment service users referred to the service.
• Undertaking high quality direct (assessment & therapeutic) and indirect (consultative, advisory, and evaluative) specialist psychological interventions and making autonomous clinical decisions.
• Working therapeutically with service users with complex presentations, undertake the assessments using a broad range of structured psychometric and semi structured clinical methods.
• Formulating and implementing plans of specialist psychological treatment or management of patients' mental health needs based on a multi-factorial psychological understanding and current evidence based best practise.
• Being professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of clinical work and care.
• Maintaining high standards of care in all areas of practice and in accordance the HCPC Code of Conduct, professional guidelines and Company Policies and Procedures.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Have BPS recognised psychology degree
• Be HCPC registered
• Have Chartered Psychologist status and appropriate post-graduate qualifications
• Be an approved supervisor within the guidelines of the BPS and relevant division
• Have understanding of evidence-based psychological practice
• Have experience of applying psychological knowledge to a clinical/psychiatric setting
• Be experienced working with clients with cognitive deficits
• Have previous experience of conducting research and project working

Where you will be working:

Location : New Service - Castleholme Lodge, 4 Bryan Road, Edgerton, Huddersfield, HD2 2AH.

Castleholme Lodge will be a 20 bed Care Home with nursing, providing safe and supportive environment for adults with severe and enduring mental health difficulties, who no longer require hospital treatment and intervention, but require ongoing care within a mutli-disciplinary care home service.

Location: Three Valleys Hospital - 2 Burley Court Steeton, Keighley, West Yorkshire, BD20 6TU

Three Valleys Hospital provides a rehabilitation service for up to 34 adults with complex mental health issues. Three Valleys has a separate 9 bed neuropsychiatric service which supports men who are living with a neuro-progressive disorder and display behaviours that challenge.
