Exciting Opportunity: Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant
Are you a recent Psychology graduate with a passion for supporting young people's educational and emotional development? Do you aspire to pursue a career in education or psychology? Join us as a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant at an Ofsted good secondary school in Bramhall. This is a full-time position starting in September and continuing until the end of the academic year, with the potential for the role to become permanent based on performance and school requirements.
Role Overview:
As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing valuable support to students and teachers, contributing to the school's inclusive and supportive learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:

Classroom Assistance: Assisting teachers in delivering lessons, providing one-to-one support to students, and facilitating group activities to enhance learning outcomes and engagement.

SEN Support: Working closely with the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to support students with special educational needs (SEN), including designing and implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and providing tailored interventions to meet their learning needs.

Requirements:
- A degree in Psychology or a related field is essential for this role, along with a genuine interest in working with young people and supporting their educational and emotional development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
- Empathy, patience, and resilience, with a compassionate and supportive approach to working with students facing challenges or barriers to learning.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively, balancing multiple responsibilities and priorities in a dynamic school environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills, take initiative, and contribute positively to the school community.
