1. Job purpose
· To support the store management in meeting or exceeding store sales target
· To work with the store management to achieve brand standard in customer service and selling, product presentation and merchandising
2. Position in the organisation
· Reports directly to: Stock Manager
· In their absence to Store Manager / Assistant Manager
3. Result fields
Result field 1. To support the store management in meeting or exceeding store sales target
· Assists in unloading shipments efficiently into the store
· Checks items received against shipping invoice to ensure the shipment is accurate
· Unpacks inventory
· Organizes inventory in the stockroom
· Replenishes stock on the sales floor as needed
· Places orders for supplies
Result field 2. To work with the store management to achieve brand standard in customer service and selling
· Answers customer and Sales Associate questions about available items in stock
· Retrieves items from stockroom at customer request
· Places special orders for customers when necessary
Result field 3. To work with the store management to achieve brand standard in product presentation and merchandising
· Assists with regular store inventory
· Uses inventory control software to log information
· Assists managers and associates in preventing theft and maintaining proper inventory
· Pulls defective or expired items from shelves
· Packs up defective items or overstock and arranges / assists for the return shipment
· Observes proper safety procedures in the stockroom, particularly when lifting and moving heavy items
· Reports issues or problems to Stock Manager or Store Manager
· Attends store meetings Assists in cleaning up the store and stockroom during closing shifts
· Ensures the stock room is clean and tidy at all times and assists in other areas of the store as required

6. Job requirements
Knowledge and experience
· Must have or be pursuing a High School diploma or GED.
· Previous retail experience preferred.
Personal qualities/skills
· Excellent skills needed in communication (written & oral), teamwork, flexibility, pro-activeness, stress resistance.
· Physical requirements include twisting, bending, reaching, climbing a ladder and standing for extended periods of time.
· Able to accomplish multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
· Able to perform basic math functions.
