Public Services Teacher

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Public Services Teacher to join our team of dedicated professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to students in successful college in Dorset.

The Public Services Teacher will need to:

• Delivering high-quality teaching and learning to students in Further Education.
• Developing and delivering innovative and engaging curriculum materials.
• Providing academic and pastoral support to students.
• Contributing to the development of the department's strategic plan.
• Participating in the development and delivery of the department's research agenda.
• Engaging in continuous professional development.
• To teach as required on all courses (full-time, part-time and short courses) within the Protective Services Department as directed by the Deputy Principal (Curriculum and Quality), Head of Department Outdoor Adventure, Sport and Public Services. In particular, this will include teaching at Level 1 - 3.
• Deliver high quality practical sessions, including fitness and land and water based outdoor activities such as navigation, climbing and kayaking, which help develop the qualities and characteristics that will help our students achieve their chosen career goals.

Requirements:

• A degree in Public Service or a related field.
• A teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent).
• Experience of teaching Public Service in Further Education.
• A track record of delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to continuous professional development.

This role is £25,000-£28,000 pro rota. This is part time, hours may vary.
