About the Role

Our clients behaviour support teams are responsible for ensuring that students are able to manage their social, emotional and/or mental health needs, and therefore succeed in their learning. The teams are on call throughout the day to support students, to help them de-escalate when in crisis, and to help them make things right after any incidents. The teams also support students with pastoral issues such as well-being, safeguarding and attendance.
The ideal candidate might already have experience in this kind of setting, or you might have related experience of positive behaviour management of physical interventions and working with challenging, vulnerable children and young people.
We are looking for someone who is creative and resilient. You will need experience in report writing and offering different strategic approaches.
You will work with the wider school to ensure that they meet their aims of ensuring that all children make great progress academically as well as with their social, emotional and/or mental health difficulties.

Requirements

• Minimum GCSE, or equivalent, grade 4 or above in English and Maths.
• Experience working with children with special educational needs, such as autism, SEMH, and ADHD, is preferred.
• Training in aspects of SEN, i.e., ADHD, Dyslexia, Autism, is advantageous. 

Skills and Knowledge:

• Valid driver's licence required.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication, and listening skills.
• High level of self-motivation and the ability to work on own initiative.
• Ability to work as part of a team and establish good working relationships.
• Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
• Ability to quickly build effective working relationships with pupils and colleagues.
