Pupil Support Assistant - Fixed term until 26/6/2026

Salary: £23, 651 - £23, 857 per year (pro-rata for part time and sessional)
Hours: 18.75 per week, 39 weeks sessional
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Queensferry Primary School.
We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic PSA to join our team to provide support to the PE Specialist Teacher three days per week on a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. The working hours are likely to be 8.30am to 3.30pm (less unpaid breaks).
The role will specifically support a PE specialist teacher who has limited mobility with day-to-day PE teaching. Duties will include general support to assist delivery of high quality PE, helping to set-up and put away PE equipment for classes, admin duties and supervision of pupils. Candidates must be able to evidence their experience of working with Primary-aged pupils with identified Additional Support for Learning needs.
Queensferry Primary School is a non-denominational school within the City of Edinburgh Council. It is situated within the historic Royal Burgh of Queensferry and on a school campus with two buildings. With a growing pupil roll, we currently have 18 primary classes and our nursery has over 100 children attending on a part and full time basis which includes provision for babies and eligible 2-year olds.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. You will be required to provide this check. Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
