Job description

An opportunity has arisen in our Accounts Team at Taylors of Harrogate, and we are looking for a Purchase Ledger Administrator to join us at Pagoda House, in Harrogate.

As a Purchase Ledger Administrator, you will be responsible for timely & accurate processing of supplier invoices. Liaising with internal stakeholders and suppliers as necessary to ensure prompt resolution of queries/issues and provide a professional, high level of customer service.

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours on a fixed term contract basis covering maternity leave for 12 months. However, if you would like to discuss flexible working patterns, please provide more details in your application.

About you -

  • We’re looking for candidates with previous Purchase Ledger experience.
  • You will need to be computer literate.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people with varying levels of accounts/financial knowledge.
  • Good listening skills to extract facts and information.
  • Good questioning skills to enable clarification and challenge.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent team player.

Further responsibilities include -

  • Processing employee expenses in line with policy requirements and question as appropriate where expenditure falls outside of the company policy.
  • Reconciling supplier statements, requesting copies as required to ensure timely payment. You will also schedule international supplier payment runs.
  • Managing the Accounts mailbox, administer supplier invoices & respond to queries received from internal and external customers in a timely manner.
