Location: Hartlepool Area.
Duration: Minimum of 6 months

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's Purchase Ledger, ensuring accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process purchase invoices and credit notes accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile supplier statements to ledger accounts.
- Prepare payment runs and process payments.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and queries.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve issues.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk or similar role.
- Strong numerical and data entry skills.
- Proficiency in Sage and MS Office.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Desirable:
- AAT qualification or equivalent.
- Experience working in a manufacturing industry, although this is not essential.
