Job description

We are working with a well-established business based in Sheffield who are excited to be growing their team with a Purchase Ledger Assistant!

This is a varied role working alongside a strong finance team, providing fundamental support on the Purchase Ledger desk. This role would suit someone who has experience in a similar role and is confident with invoice processing, looking to work in an interesting sector and further develop their skills. You will be part of supportive and brilliant team, joining a positive and upbeat environment!

Purchase Ledger duties will include:

  • Match a high volume of purchase invoices to corresponding purchase orders, ensuring accuracy.
  • Process delivery notes efficiently to facilitate smooth inventory management.
  • Record all company purchase invoices and credit notes.
  • Handle internal and external queries promptly and professionally.
  • Reconcile supplier statements to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Process timely payments to suppliers, ensuring adherence to payment schedules.

The ideal Purchase Ledger Assistant:

  • Experience in a similar Purchase Ledger role
  • Strong IT skills (using accounting software and excel)
  • Positive attitude and drive
  • Good eye for detail
