An exciting opportunity has arisen, Hays has partnered with a well-established equipment and technology supplier based in Ledbury. We are now looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to support our client on a full time and permanent basis, in one of their finance teams.
Your new role
As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will be responsible for carrying out the following duties:
- To uphold their invoicing system
- Coding of invoices
- To carry out the receipting of delivery notes
- You will post and process a high volume of orders in various currencies
- Get involved in implementing and developing process improvements to boost efficiency, whilst minimising issues
- To distribute invoices which need to be authorised
- To ensure the Purchase Ledger function runs smoothly
- The processing of company credit card expenses and company phone bills
- Support the wider finance team with general admin and adhoc duties
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be a successful candidate in light of the Accounts Assistant position, you will need:
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting packages
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- To have previous experience working in a similar role or in a finance team
- Excellent attention to detail
