Purchase Ledger Manager

Purchase Ledger Manager | Nottinghamshire | Up to £35k 
Cherry Professional are currently recruiting a Purchase Ledger Manager for a thriving business based in the Long Eaton area.  This role reports directly into the Financial Controller, where you are responsible for a team of 6.  Not only will you be developing and supervising the team, but also getting involved in the day to day duties. 
Responsibilities: 
Leading and developing a team of accounts payable assistants 
Conducting appraisals and reviews
Managing the workload within the department 
Dealing with any escalations and queries
Reviewing supplier status for new and existing businesses
Attending management meetings
Invoice processing as well as statement reconciliation
Ideal Candidate: 
Previous experience of leading a team within a finance function 
Purchase ledger experience 
IT literate, with a good working knowledge of Excel
Excellent communication skills at all levels
Able to meet deadlines
Prioritise a very busy workload
