Purchase to Pay Manager
Maidenhead, Full Time, Fixed Term Contract
£Attractive Dependent on experience

Our global client, based in Newark, Nottinghamshire are looking to recruit a Purchase to Pay Manager on a full time, fixed term contract basis.

THE ROLE

The Purchase to Pay Managerwill lead and manage a centralised processing centre for the Purchase to Pay function for the European business including expense management. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead a central processing team to manage the Purchase to Pay function.
  • Responsibility and lead for month-end close process for Accounts payable.
  • Regular review of aged items with goal towards ensuring no invoices are overdue.
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with the General Ledger teams and the Consolidation team, ensure month end AP queries are resolved with minimum issue allowing the reporting to teams to produce their reports and outputs in a timely manner.
  • Take responsibility and ownership of the J-Sox controls over Accounts Payable.
  • Work with the Centre of Excellence team to drive process improvement and consistency.
  • Ensure reconciliations are performed between purchase and general ledgers on a monthly basis for each entity.
  • Manage master data for the Purchase to Pay area in Oracle, including day to day approvals.
  • Supporting AP improvement projects.
  • Providing training as required to team members.

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal Purchase to Pay Manager will be able to demonstrate:

  • Educated to degree level.
  • Professional accountancy qualification is an advantage.
  • Experience in managing an AP function across locations.
  • Excellent management and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous knowledge of the Oracle Purchase to Pay process.
  • Analytical problem solving and decisive decision making skills.
  • Fluent in English and, preferably, a second European language.
  • Previous experience with and knowledge of Concur.
  • Plus 10 years working within Purchase to pay / accounts payable area, with minimum 5 of those years in a Manager / Supervisor.
