Sue Ross Recruitment are delighted to be working with a leading data & IT services provide in the recruitment of a Purchasing Administrator to support the Supply Chain & BD teams as well as other departments as required. Success in the position will be measured by fast and accurate processing of orders and supporting on purchasing administration with a pleasant and driven attitude and a real thirst for learning.
Supply Chain & Procurement duties include:
- Responsibility for fielding incoming calls into the business
- Assist in obtaining pricing from suppliers for all commodities
- Convert requisitions to purchase orders and place orders with suppliers for both internal and external products and services
- Cross reference suppliers order confirmations to P/Os to ensure the prices match to reduce invoice queries and allow for a smooth payments process
- Ensure all purchases go through the correct approval process
- Ensure Statements of Works accompany orders where appropriate
- Create new suppliers and products on the system, uploading specification sheets and amend pricing when needed
- Check the fleet register removing any vehicles no longer required and adding to or removing from insurance and the various tolls, crossing and parking accounts
- Collating relevant stats and assist in the production of the monthly dept report.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have some previous experience of working in a procurement department, have excellent organisational skills and be looking for a role where there will be the opportunity for career progression.
