We are looking for a Buying Administrator to join our fast-paced Buying team. You will work alongside the buyers and merchandisers focusing on key product areas. This is a very exciting full-time opportunity to join our busy Buying Department.
Responsibilities:
- Clear knowledge of the Brand & its customers.
- Setting up new products & working with suppliers to ensure all product information is accurate and up to date.
- Organising product cycle from selection to publication online or in the catalogue.
- Booking in samples with the sample co-ordinator.
- Organising post showroom visit for the buying team, chasing supplier quotes & imagery.
- Updating & organising product ranges throughout the season.
- Creating project sheets for new items selected.
- Uploading items onto the system.
- Checking website & catalogue to ensure products have the correct information and are categorised correctly.
- Building good working relationship with suppliers.
- Requesting & evaluating digital copies of self-build product instructions and care guides.
- Briefing packaging specifications to suppliers.
- Evaluating packaging from suppliers.
- Organising & updating on-line systems and folders.
- Supporting the buyers' meetings with all administrative duties.
- Proof reading labels & branding.
- Working with our customer services team to help with product queries.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years' experience working in a head office buying environment.
- Positive & approachable with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexible & enthusiastic with a real love of interiors.
- Confident & able to build strong relationships with suppliers.
- Ideally some work experience in an office.
- Good working knowledge of Excel & Word.
- A degree would be ideal but not essential.
- Open minded approach to working.
- Excited by product.
- Organised & self-motivated.
- Great attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure & to deadlines.
- Awareness of current market & competitors.
