We are currently looking for a dynamic Purchasing Assistant to join our vibrant team at our bustling Stoke on Trent depot. As a Purchasing Assistant, you will be responsible for analysing and reviewing stock, sales, and intake positions at line, category, and branch levels. You will place purchase orders to agreed lead times ensuring optimal stock levels within budget, prepare detailed analysis reports for the management team, manage branch stock profiles aligned with sales and capacity plans, monitor supplier performance and conformance to SLAs, and build strong working relationships with both suppliers and internal departments.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, with no evenings or weekends, 37.5 hours per week
Purchasing Assistant Requirements:
- Proven experience in inventory planning and management across UK, EU, and FE sources
- Strong working knowledge of Line Flows, WSSI, and OTB processes
- Thorough understanding of all inventory performance KPIs
- Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proactive problem-solver and team player, with the ability to use initiative
- Excellent MS Outlook and Excel skills
