Full time (08:30 – 17:15), permanent
£24,000 - £26,000 per annum
Knowledge/experience of supply chain role is a plus

This Purchasing Assistant role offers an opportunity to learn and grow within the company, giving you the training, support, and all the tools you need to reach your full potential.
With an annual salary of £24,000 - £26,000, the ideal candidate will share our passion for exceptional customer service and preferably have knowledge/experience of supply chains.

What you'll do:
Manage purchase orders, discrepancies and delivery schedules with meticulous attention to detail
Maintain product data, SRM notes and implement price changes
Analyse system reports to maintain optimum stock levels
Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Source and negotiate competitive prices for plumbing and heating supplies from leading manufacturers
Interpret market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback to identify new product opportunities
Manage supplier samples and promotional literature
Meet purchasing targets to fulfill our customer service promise
Who you are:
A confident and personable individual who can build relationships
Able to prioritise and stay organised in a demanding environment
Skilled in IT using Microsoft suite and CRM systems
Strong with numbers and data analysis
An excellent communicator with a keen eye for detail
Eager to learn about the company, our products and the market
Able to think creatively and adapt to changing situations
Not afraid to ask questions and challenge the status quo (we love cheeky go-getters!)
Knowledge or work experience of supply chains would be advantageous
Educated to GCSE level or higher in English and Maths
Familiarity with the plumbing and heating industry is a plus
