SalaryWe are recruiting for a Purchasing Assistant for a food production company based in Zeals, Wiltshire.
What you will do as Purchasing Assistant
You will need excellent communication, numerical, and planning skills, and commercial awareness to excel in this role.
- Keep products and prices up to date.
- Maintain technical admin for accreditation.
- Help to manage the supply chain and stock control.
- Resolve queries regarding deliveries.
- Maintain good relationships with suppliers and resolve any queries and discrepancies.
Skills and experience
- Purchasing experience, ideally in the food industry or hospitality.
- Able to participate effectively in cross-functional teams and at all organisational levels.
- High standard of computer software skills including ERP systems, Excel.
- Communication skills
- Mathematical skills
Working pattern
This is a full time, permanent role, Monday to Friday. Hours are 7am to 4pm with one Saturday per month.
The office is located in the pretty village of Zeals, close to the amenities of Mere and Gillingham and just off the A303. They have some office helpers so you must be comfortable with dogs. Our client is keen to find someone who will develop their skills in this role.
The job is office based in a beautiful location, but you will need your own transport to get there. There is free parking on site.
