Job Overview:
I am currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Purchasing Assistant. This is an immediate start position, offering a competitive hourly rate of £12. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our procurement and project management functions, requiring excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Key Responsibilities:
- Producing Purchase Orders:
- Ensure all necessary details, including quantities, specifications, and delivery timelines, are correctly documented.
- Updating Project Costs:
- Monitor and report any discrepancies in project cost data.
- Progress Spreadsheet Updates:
- Collaborate with project managers to obtain updates on timelines, milestones, and budgetary changes.
- Excel and Word Proficiency:
- Demonstrate proficiency in Word for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes.
- Stock Control (Depending on Experience):
- Implement effective stock control measures to minimise shortages and excess inventory.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar purchasing or administrative role is essential
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
