We are looking for a pro-active Purchasing Coordinator on behalf of our client within a cutting edge client based in Maidstone.
Ideally you will have some experience of working within a purchasing team along with some previous knowledge of using a processing system. You will have good Excel and MS office skills. You will also need to be a great team player and someone who enjoys team interaction in order to help achieve the best results. Most important will be your great attitude and positive personality.
Duties of the role include:
- Communication with suppliers and ensure that lead times are met
- Carry out day to day work to ensure that purchasing demands are met and that goods in arrive promptly in order to meet sales orders to clients within set lead-times.
- Reschedule order as necessary to keep updated with changing dates and lead times
- Maintaining the internal database with updated prices and products as necessary
- Create purchase and works orders and send to suppliers
The ideal candidate will:
- Be proactive and flexible with a positive attitude
- Have strong IT skills
- Be a great team player with a friendly and polite personality
- Be able to meet tight deadlines
- Be able to use your initiative and make logical decisions
- Be keen to learn and eager to take on new tasks
- Have good time management skills
