The Role -
Working as part of a team you will be assisting the purchasing department in the prompt placing and chasing of supplier orders to ensure the timely arrival of products to service customer orders.
Responsibilities -
Your responsibilities will cover a wide range of commercial activities including:
- Raising and processing supplier purchase orders
- Maintaining, updating and reporting on supplier delivery schedules
- Track and expedite purchase orders by working with suppliers, carriers, the internal Goods Inwards team, and other departments as required.
- Updating and communicating delivery changes to customers
- Order entry & processing
- Liaising with suppliers
- Co-ordinating with our Internal Sales Managers and Sales Co-ordinators
- Monitor supplier performance around delivery performance and order fulfilment.
Requirements -
- Computer Literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook with the ability to learn bespoke systems and programmes.
- Purchase order entry and processing
- Customer liaison and management
- Excellent telephone manner
- Good organiser & co-ordinator
- Minimum grade C in English and Maths GCSE
- Great communicator

Hours of Work -
Our client operates on a two-shift basis which rotates weekly, to ensure the best service for their customers.
Shift times are -
Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm and Monday to Friday 9.30am to 6pm.
Daily breaks are 2 x 15 minutes and 1 x 50 minutes.
