Purchasing Manager

The successful Purchasing Managerwill progress strong relationships within the end–to–end supply chain.

The role will involve:

• Manage and develop a a small team
• Provide excellent leadership and direction for the Procurement function.
• Control spend across direct and indirect areas
• Support the efficient running of the Operation through sourcing of best–inclass Vendors
• Deliver cost out opportunities and control spend to limit price inflation across categories.

To be successful in this role of Purchasing Managerwe would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:

• Working towards Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (MCIPS).
• Excellent knowledge and experience of using SAP.
• Ability to work autonomously whilst empowering direct reports.
• Experience of working in a heavy engineering industry preferred.
• Highly commercial and numerate with advanced Excel skills.
• Strong and demonstrable understanding of commercial contracts.
