Are you an experienced and dynamic Procurement Manager with a passion for strategic sourcing and supplier management?
Our client is on the lookout for a seasoned professional to step into the role of Procurement Manager, contributing significantly to the elevation of their procurement operations.
As Procurement Manager, you will spearhead strategic initiatives, cultivate robust supplier relationships, and ensure the flawless execution of projects spanning diverse sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Procurement Leadership:
- Lead the procurement activities for a diverse range of products, catering to end-users, retail, and residential sectors.
- Negotiation and Supplier Management:
- Employ your robust negotiation skills to influence and secure optimal supplier agreements, ensuring the best market value for our products. Monitor and assess supplier performance, fostering continuous improvement through effective issue communication.
- Demand Planning and Forecasting:
- Develop and implement an active demand planning and forecasting process by analysing product/category sales trends. Determine purchasing schedules to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Global Market Awareness:
- Anticipate and pre-plan for seasonal changes specific to international markets, demonstrating a proactive approach to potential challenges.
- International Communication:
- Effectively communicate with suppliers worldwide to establish and maintain robust working relationships, ensuring the prompt resolution of any arising issues.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Liaise regularly with the Warehouse Operations Manager, Marketing Team, and Accounts Team to ensure the smooth running of projects and efficient coordination across departments.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) qualification.
- Proven experience as a Procurement Manager, with a focus on strategic sourcing and supplier management.
- Experience in dealing with overseas suppliers, showcasing a nuanced understanding of global closures throughout the year.
- Strong negotiation skills and a track record of successfully securing favourable supplier agreements.
