You’re an experienced Purchasing Manager or Buyer who enjoys being part of an SME where you can get involved and build personal relationships to collaborate in the business. You enjoy working from cradle to grave, seeing the whole purchasing process through from start to finish.
Our client in Verwood is recruiting for a new Purchasing Manager to join them. You will be working with 10 core brands. Relationships are established so you won’t be bogged down with negotiations, but rather seeing projects through from beginning to end. You’ll develop an in-depth product knowledge and track the seasonality. The best bit is, there will be a thorough handover with the current Purchasing Manager who can show you the ropes but also encourage you to bring new ideas and experiences to the table.
What you’ll be doing as Purchasing Manager:
- Looking at sales forecasts and planning ahead, speaking to the sales teams to understand needs
- Working closely with 10 established brands/suppliers to forward plan, ensuring the future availability of products
- Manage costing records, showing landed costs, RRP and margins
- Use the Pegasus Opera3 and XRL packages (training provided)
Minimum Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in a Purchasing Manager role or similar
- Able to collaborate across teams
- Enjoy building relationships with suppliers
Salary and Details:
- £30 - 35,000 basic salary per annum
- £100 to spend on company products
- Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm
- 21 days holiday + bank holidays
- Free on site parking
