We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our client, a Swindon-based food production company as a QA/QC Technician.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring the adherence to quality standards and regulatory compliance within our food manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QA procedures, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in Excel.
QA/QC Technician Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily GMP checks throughout the factory to ensure compliance with standards.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of production paperwork, including labels and documentation.
- Perform environmental swaps and process samples for microbial analysis.
- Sign off end-of-day procedures in kitchen and warehouse areas.
- Review and validate goods-in logs for accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct spot checks on labelling of raw materials in the warehouse.
- Perform temperature checks of refrigerators and freezers.
- Ensure all necessary sundries are stocked and topped up for the next day's production.
- Update production paperwork and logs as needed, maintaining accurate records.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of product specifications and quality management systems.
- Respond to customer queries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience in a QA role within the food manufacturing or medical industry.
- Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, and other relevant quality assurance standards.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
