This is what you'll be doing as QC Laboratory Manager:

• Manage, develop, and train your team while ensuring their safety. You'll be the driving force behind their success.
• Ensure timely release of stock, and maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment for optimal performance.
• Review customer testing requirements and seamlessly integrate them into the laboratory's processes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in QC management to align with the company's and our customers' objectives.
• Handle non-conformances and assist in investigations, ensuring timely resolution.
• Work closely with various departments to ensure smooth integration of new products, customers, or suppliers.
• Participate in customer and regulatory audits to maintain our high-quality standards.
• Provide support to the outbound Quality Control department when needed and assist in recruiting and training new team members.
• Support the Quality Department and Manager in various quality-related tasks, including hygiene matters and deputizing for the Quality Manager.

The experience you'll bring to the team as QC Laboratory Manager:

• A degree in a science or engineering discipline.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office software.
• Certified Internal Quality Auditor to ISO9001 standard.
• Relevant industry-recognized Quality Assurance qualification.
• Experience working in a chemical, microbiological, biological, or pharmaceutical laboratory
• Experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques and tools such as 5s and Kaizen.
• Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC).

And this is what you will get in return:

• Annual salary of £35-40K per year dependant on relevant experience
• 37 core hours per week on a day shift of 08:00-16:30 Mon-Thurs. and 08:00-13:00 Friday
• 5 weeks of holidays per year plus bank holidays
