Qualified Accountant

Jenson Fisher are delighted to be partnering with our instantly recognisable local client with a national presence and a truly global touch to recruit a Qualified Accountant on a permanent, full time basis. With strong experience encompassing financial and business leadership, you will play a key role in the daily management of a small finance team and be confident drawing on your own experience to ensure that business activities are approached with financial thought at its' core.
You will ideally be in possession of your CA, CIMA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent) and be confident both providing technical and financial advice and guidance to financial and non financial people whilst also leading on reporting and maximising the efficiency of globally recognised financial software.
On a day to day basis your responsibilities will include:

• Manage a dynamic finance department ensuring that both reporting and project deadlines are achieved.
• Ensure accurate financial accounting for externally funded activities.
• Production of budgets and forecasts throughout the financial year working with key department heads to ensure a sound understanding of all business activities.
• Maximising the use of technology to enhance the speed of financial reporting.
• Working using multiple currencies including Sterling, Euro, Dollar and Yen.
• Project and cost accounting including monthly reporting, financial accounting and meeting statutory obligations.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills alongside the ability to communicate financial information to non financial people.
• Analysis of financial information and producing reports for key stakeholders as required.

You will be confident in your own decision making and be able to work well using your own initiative or as part of a team. In addition, you will consider yourself inquisitive by nature and be confident challenging where appropriate and taking the lead on new initiatives when the opportunity presents itself. To be successful in this role you will be required to establish and maintain first class working relationships across multiple departments whilst also maintaining an up to date knowledge of financial reporting requirements.
