Form of work The Client, a renowned Insurance Firm is looking for a Qualified Life Actuary to support the business across a large variety of work within Risk, Capital and ALM.
A bit more about the role:
• Get involved with various projects related to Risk and Capital and helping to further the company's reputation/presence in the insurance market - opportunity to get exposure to investment and risk transfer as well.
• Build and maintain relationships with different stakeholders (this includes senior stakeholder management)
• Propose new ideas and business opportunities both internally and externally.
• Play a key role in the future success of the team and business, particularly in the areas of Risk and investments.
• Act as a thought leader in the market - i.e. attending conferences, conference speaking, research, staying up-to-date with the market news/developments, articles, etc.
The right candidate:
• Experience in investment and ALM work.
• Knowledge of Solvency II for UK insurers.
• Strong consulting skills and a proficient checker, with an understanding of audit trail and controls.
• Skills in mentoring and coaching.
• Understanding of risk management frameworks which are utilised in insurance firms.
• Qualified UK actuaries/Relevant professional investment or quantitative risk qualification.
