We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Teacher with expertise in multi-sensory impairment to join our team. As a Qualified Teacher Multi-sensory Impairment, you will play a vital role in educating and supporting students with hearing and visual impairments. Your primary objective will be to provide a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes the academic, social, and emotional development of each student.
In this role, you will collaborate with a team of professionals, including teaching assistants, therapists, and specialists, to create individualized education plans for students with multi-sensory impairments. You will design and implement instructional strategies that cater to each student's unique needs, using a combination of tactile, auditory, and visual techniques. Additionally, you will create accessible learning materials and assistive technology tools to enhance student engagement and participation.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with multi-sensory impairments
Provide direct instruction to students, utilizing multi-sensory teaching techniques
Adapt and modify curriculum materials to meet the specific needs of each student
Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and specialists to support student engagement and progress
Assess students' academic abilities and formulate appropriate instructional goals
Monitor and track students' progress and provide timely feedback to parents and caregivers
Foster a positive learning environment that promotes inclusivity, respect, and diversity
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
Specialism in multi-sensory impairment education
Knowledge of various communication methods used by individuals with multi-sensory impairments, such as British Sign Language (BSL) and Braille
Familiarity with assistive technology tools and resources for students with multi-sensory impairments
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Patience, empathy, and the ability to establish rapport with students and their families.

Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17.00
Pay Per Hour: £23.34
