Quality Assistant - Steelwork

First Achieve's Engineering Division are seeking a Quality Assistant for their client based in Derby who specialise in structures in residential and commercial projects.

The Quality Assistant will support the Quality Manager in ensuring that all structural steelwork products meet the company's stringent quality standards and comply with industry regulations. This role involves conducting inspections, maintaining quality documentation, and assisting in the implementation of quality control processes.

The Role:

• Assist in the development and implementation of quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
• Participate in internal audits and inspections to verify adherence to quality and environmental management systems.
• Collaborate with project teams to support the establishment of quality control plans and ensure compliance with established standards.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and records.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years' experience or equivalent.
• Experience within the Structural Steel industry.
• Basic understanding of painting, welding, quality management systems and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001).
