Role Summary
The Quality Assurance and Assessment Manager will initially, and primarily, track and report on progress against the service improvement plans, making additional recommendations where applicable for improving operational safety, and jointly with the Quality Improvement Team mitigate risk, protect staff and safety of the people we support and Transforming Support’s reputation. You will also be responsible for completing referrals and Assessments.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure that ‘Essential Standards of Quality & Safety’ are adhered to in line with
- Transforming Supports' values and policies, local statutory requirements National legislation and regulatory requirements
- Report accurately and on time to the Regional Director, so any potential issues that may effect the quality of service can be addressed effectively.
- Ensure that all practices take appropriate account of equality and diversity of both staff, individuals, families, and the communities where services are provided.
- Positively promote the use of self-advocacy and advocacy services to ensure decisions are made appropriately and that staff are aware to include the individuals supported in decision-making.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with local professional teams. Provide a professional, credible, and reliable figure for local professional teams to liaise with.
- Provide evidence of the development of best practice within the services in line with the supported living Quality Assurance strategy and national standards.
- Maintain a high standard of communication that is relevant and appropriate to all stakeholders and responsive to need.
- Seek to minimise the potential of abuse or neglect of any individual and respond promptly and decisively to manage any such potential abuse or neglect.
- Ensure high quality and appropriate assessments are in place for people prior to support commencing
- Lead and work in co-production with relevant colleagues, to pro-actively manage any voids/vacancies across services, in a person-centred way
The candidate:
- Has a real desire to always promote the rights of people with learning disabilities and considers others who are important in the person’s life.
- Embeds the core principles of Fairness, Respect, Equality, Dignity and Autonomy in their daily practice and leads others by example, being always kind, patient and understanding.
- Experience of working with various stakeholders and building positive rapport and high trust relationships within a Social Care sector
- Experience of delivering services for people and understanding their bespoke needs/requirements, in a very person-centred way
- Experienced in meeting the key performance indicators set within this role
- At least 5 years' experience as a Registered Manager in a Care setting preferabily with adults with comples needs.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leading and Managing an Adult Care Service
