AddressQuality Assurance Assistant
(Undergraduate Placement Scheme)
As a Quality Assurance Assistant, you will be responsible for the implementation of continuous improvement projects within the wider Quality team.
Working hours:
08:00-16:30 Mon-Thu & 08:00-15:30 Fri
Key Responsibilities
- Project: Re-validate Quality Control laboratory methods used within resins manufacture (particle size, near infrared spectroscopy, viscosity, various wet chemistry techniques, etc.).
- Support the Quality Manager in management and validation of material changes.
- Promote the PPG quality system approach across the site through working interactions.
- Provide support in internal non-conformances and complaints investigations, action implementations and internal audits.
- Provide support to Quality Control in root cause investigations and corrective action management, supporting the RCI process to ensure that corrective action implementation is driving improvement.
Qualifications
- Completed a scientific undergraduate or master’s degree (Essential).
- Understanding of technical information, with the ability to manage and present data, and the results and conclusions from projects, trials and root cause investigation analysis.
- Strong communication skills.
- Tenacious and results orientated, with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver on actions in a timely manner.
- Strong mathematic aptitude with an understanding of statistical tools (Desirable).
