Quality Assurance Engineering Supervisor

Your new companyA successful, global engineering company manufacturing top quality products for the past 40 years. Due to increased orders they have a need to expand their quality team.Your new roleManage and lead a team of quality engineers to form a strong working relationship with OEM customers to ensure that all quality related customer specific requirements (CSRs) are met within the required time frames and to the defined standards. You will proactively ensure awareness of all supplier, internal and external customer quality related concerns and ensure your team of quality engineers take the appropriate mitigation actions within the required time frames. Establish and maintain clear roles of responsibility and accountability within your immediate team, cross departmental teams, and external teams, including supplier and customer teams, through clear communication and team interaction using management techniques such as RACI. Manage weekly supplier, internal and customer non-conforming quality 8D reviews to ensure correct root cause identification, suitable countermeasure selection, effective countermeasure implementation & verification within the required time frames. Conduct audits on internal and supplier QMS processes, production processes and Control Plans to ensure achievement of APQP & PPAP deliverables, to investigate non-conforming product quality (NCR) and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) issues and to identify kaizen quality improvement opportunities. Manage monthly Supplier Quality Improvement Plan (SQIP) reviews with supplier management to ensure the on-time close out of overdue 8D CAPAs, audit finding CAPAs and kaizen quality improvement countermeasures.What you'll need to succeedIdeally you will have Degree, but not essential. Minimum 3 years team leader within an engineering or manufacturing environment required, quality management systems & ISO 9001. APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, Data Analysis, KPIs, NCRs and Quality reporting. Structured problem-solving techniques such as 8D, A3, 4C and tools such as Ishikawa, 5-Why, Pareto, Charts & Graphs. Control plan audits and Kaizen projects. Inspection procedures, record sheets, measurement hand tools & equipment.
