M4 are working with a fast growing small family run fine food manufacturer that are looking for a Quality Assurance Food Technician.
Key Responsibilities are:
- Assist the Technical Manager
- Facilitate the practical application of food safety & quality standards.
- Product Sampling & Testing
- Carrying out monthly traceability exercises
- Ensure all environmental and cleaning swabs are completed
- Creating and updating QAS, Production & Packing Paperwork
- Verification of CCPs, Labelling, Temperatures, Weights & Measures, Hygiene
- Internal Auditing
- Ensure accurate record keeping in line with required standards demonstrating attention to detail
- Training staff to carry out CCP’s and how to complete production paperwork.
- Raw Material/Supplier Quality Assurance, including product launches
- Maintenance of quality control material throughout facility.
- Assist colleagues in maintaining compliance to Client Codes of Practice & BRC.
Skills required for the role:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- Proficient in HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) principles and practices
- Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance methodologies and tools
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends or patterns
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
