Job description

Quality Assurance Lead

Purpose

This exciting role has a full remit across all Skills Delivery of PET-Xi in supporting the Quality Assurance manager to drive a high-performance and quality culture across the business. Operating at operational level you will support in ensuring delivery both complies with Ofsted’s Inspection requirements and the companies drive towards continual improvement in teaching and learning whilst driving quality across all contracts and completing responsibilities of the Lead IQA to ensure DCS with awarding bodies and compliance against both regulated and non-regulated qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for ongoing quality management as part of contract review processes relating to delivery for all skills and other relevant delivery contracts.
  • Leading on the operational aspects for driving quality and advising the Head of Quality and Compliance.
  • The implementation of effective Continuous Quality Improvement measures that allow the management team to track quality improvements across all provision and will be exposed to all areas of the organisation, playing an active role in leading change, operational and quality improvements and development.
  • You are responsible for training and guidance to all levels of managers and staff on quality and improvement as well as coordinating the communication of all quality issues relating to delivery. You will be required to prepare and submit reports to Head of Quality and Compliance, to coordinate internal quality deep dives, to undertake holistic risk and needs assessments and to be aware of all quality compliance and developments in relation to awarding bodies, Ofsted and funders.
  • You will oversee the delivery of a comprehensive integrated quality improvement regime that ensures issues are monitored, reported, managed, and resolved within a timely manner. You will have responsibility for integrating a range of quality measures and processes across the organisation delivery ensuring there is alignment across the Company in reporting quality, therefore providing the Senior Leadership Team with greater visibility, and understanding of the quality of the delivery of the services provided
  • You will develop and establish rigorous processes to support Quality Assurance and early detection of potential risks/issues to enable the proactive early identification of adverse variances in education framework and awarding body requirements.
  • You will lead on ensuring swift action where necessary and ensure appropriate routes of escalation, where required.
  • You will lead on internal quality deep dives and quality activities, to undertake holistic risk assessments relating to delivery.
  • You will lead and influence management decisions regarding Quality of delivery based on the principles of standardisation and best practice.
  • You will manage and support the development and improvement of programmes across all provision.
  • You will be responsible for conducting robust self-assessment and supporting in the implementation of the companies overarching SAR and quality improvement plan.
  • You will assume responsibility for ensuring 'inscope’ delivery both complies with Ofsted’s standards and the companies wider drive towards continual improvement in teaching and learning
  • Assisting in preparing for and representing the company in regard to Ofsted Inspections
  • Promote and monitor high standards of attainment, success rates, progress and outcomes across all provision.
  • To monitor, analyse learner and employer data and surveys, feedback and make changes as required and provide reports to SMT. This should include but not be limited to: learner destinations, learner perception surveys, the monitoring of Equality and Diversity against outcomes for leaners and against EDIMS benchmarking data or other appropriate data standard.
  • Act as the lead in ensuring deep dives and quality activities take place across ALL contracts and ensuring proactive monitoring and the management of quality improvements within teaching.
      • Conduct regular deep dives to establish how well learners are learning and collate the impact required
      • to undertake observations as a member of the observation team (if appliable working with PRIME’s)
      • to plan and deliver staff development on teaching and learning as require
  • provide feedback and l&d support to iqas to develop their practice to ensure systems and processes are being followed.
  • monitor, support and co-ordinate the work of the iqa working group and/or trainee iqas.

Person Specification

1. Educational Qualifications:

  • V1 or alternative recognised internal Quality Assurance qualification.
  • Assessor qualification. E.g. TAQA, A1 or equivalent.
  • A bachelor's degree in education, quality management, or a related field.- Desirable

2. Quality Assurance Experience:

  • Significant experience in Quality Assurance and improvement within the education sector, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance standards and best practices in education.
  • A proven track record in working within similar roles.

3. Regulatory Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with relevant educational regulations, standards, and accreditation requirements.

4. Analytical Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills to assess data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ability to use data to inform decision-making and drive quality enhancements.

5. Communication Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey quality objectives and outcomes to various stakeholders.

6. Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving abilities to address challenges related to Quality Assurance and to develop effective solutions.
