Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician (Nights)

Sector: Food Manufacturing

Salary: up to £27,500

Schedule: Sunday to Thursday, 10 pm – 6 am

The role of a Quality Assurance Technician is to carry out internal audits and day-to-day Quality Assurance from incoming raw materials to finished products. The QA Technician works with the line operator who performs daily QC checks to validate that the QC process meets its objectives, takes reference samples, and conducts sensory analysis from all production runs. The role will be to collect samples for microbiological analysis as documented in the quality plans. Other duties will include reporting, recording, and investigating non-conformances, highlighting training requirements and compiling technical reports as required.

Key Accountabilities:

• To carry out GMP audits of the production facility.
• To carry out daily Quality Assurance checks on incoming raw materials to ensure they conform to specifications.
• To carry out daily validation checks of all production online quality control checks and ensure that all checks have been carried out to the required frequency and that the required Quality standards are being maintained.
• To report, record and investigate non-conformances, ensuring close out of all actions
• Report immediately any serious non-conformances to the Technical Manager or in his absence to the senior member of the Management Team on site,
• To carry out sensory analysis as documented in the quality plans.
• To gather samples for microbiological analysis at the required frequency.
• To ensure daily reference samples of finished products are collected at the required frequency as per customer requirements. Ensuring samples are labelled and stored for future reference.
• To compile and communicate Technical reports, as required.
• To collate and analyse data, such as monitoring waste in production.
• To work with internal colleagues, including Operations and NPD teams to meet customer needs.
• To work with production, to ensure manufacturing audits take place and any non-conformances are recorded and closed out.
