DK Recruitment are looking to hire an enthusiastic and flexible Quality Assurance Technologist on behalf of their client. The role will see you ensure that all products are safe, compliant, and fit for purpose.

You will need to deal with internal departments all over the world and the role will require you to visit the global offices.

Responsibilities

• Support UK Quality Assurance and Compliance Manager
• Conduct, document and communicate new product risk assessments, identifying test requirements and potential quality and safety risks.
• Provide details of the required technical information for packaging to design team and check and approve subsequent work.
• Monitor product performance statistics in terms of returns, store and customers complaints, internet reviews and product incidents and provide regular product performance updates.
• Coordinate weekly poor performing product meeting to review poor product reviews with a multi-disciplined team.
• Create and maintain product technical files and create UK and EC DOCs for approved new products.
• Investigate and identify the root cause for products performing outside acceptable levels and follow up corrective action.

Required Skills

• Minimum 3 years previous experience in QA/Product technologist role
• Preferred manufacturing engineering, product design or testing laboratory background or experience, ideally with toys.
• Experience of international directives, regulations, standards, and requirements
• Logical thinker with ability to identify risk and implement effective solutions.
• Ability to work with and protect confidential information.
• Full UK driving license would be advantageous.
