We have a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Assurance Technologist to join a very successful, growing FMCG business with a really exciting range of products and very well recognised brands. The Quality Assurance Technologist will be responsible for ensuring that all products are safe, compliant and fit for purpose. You will work closely with internal departments within the UK, Europe and Hong Kong, as well as external suppliers, inspection companies, test laboratories and enforcement authorities.
Responsibilities will include:
- Provide advice on the quality, safety and compliance of new product initiatives
- Conduct, document and communicate new product risk assessments, identifying test requirements and potential quality and safety risks
- Provide the required technical information for packaging to the design team and approve subsequent artwork
- Provide QA input at all product development stages, working closely with the product design team to ensure a focus on safety and compliance
- Create and maintain product technical files
- Provide advice on the quality, safety and compliance for International markets
- Monitor product performance statistics in terms of returns, customer / store complaints, internet reviews and product incidents
- Investigate and identify the root cause for products performing outside acceptable levels and follow up corrective action
- Investigate customer complaints and poor product reviews to help provide a suitable customer response and identify any corrective action required
- Coordinate weekly Poor Performing Product meeting to review poor product reviews with a multi-disciplined team
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role working with packaged retail products. You will have experience of working to safety standards and of seeing through the process of bringing a physical product to market from concept to launch.
