SPP is continuously expanding its product range and the markets it supplies into. This requires the recruitment of high quality/high potential candidates to become key members of a growing team.
Due to this growth and expansion, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Controller to join our team at Severfield (Products & Processing) in Sherburn near Malton.
The purpose of this role is to assist the Quality Manager in the smooth running of the Quality Assurance Department and to help maintain compliance to National, International & regulatory 3rd party standards.
You will be responsible for ensuring safe working practises are always followed and taking the necessary steps and precautions to prevent unsafe situations.
You will assist the Quality Manager in processing NCR’s, undertake dimensional inspections & MPI Testing, You will also complete paint inspections and be responsible for accurately reporting all work undertaken. Ideally qualified to CSWIP 3.1. NACE experience or similar would be advantageous.
We are looking for candidates with any previous Quality experience. If you have previous experience in a structural steel environment this would be beneficial however it is not essential.
Working hours are 16:30 - 02:30 Monday - Wednesday and 16:30 - 02:00 Thursday with 30 minutes unpaid break each day.
