Overview:
Element has an opportunity for a Quality Coordinator to join our growing team based at our Wythenshaw, Manchester Laboratory.
This role will support the Quality Manager to manage and maintain the Quality Management System executing all activities related to quality compliance within the facilities procedures.

A strong awareness of quality systems and the structure and tools of a quality management system or significant administration experience considered.

Responsibilities:
  • Carry out all activities to meet ISO/IES17025:2017 and ISO17020 standards and requirements.
  • Primary contact for operational staff seeking Quality Assurance (QA) assistance
  • Maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) to meet all specific ISO17025 and ISO17020 standard requirements
  • Supporting the initiation and progression of quality management system activity with other staff.
  • Generation, review and approval of relevant quality documentation
  • Effective administration of the QMS and document management systems
  • Ensuring timely and adequate completion of activities in accordance with regulatory and site-specific authorisations
  • Quality Systems: Complete Reporting, reviewing, investigation, root cause analysis, quality risk assessments, Deviations, CAPA’s and Change Controls
  • Initiate and support continuous improvement of the Quality Management System
  • Delivery of compliance training to operational areas
  • Provide guidance and assistance on quality related issues in operational areas and to External third parties
  • To ensure ongoing data integrity, equipment and computer systems validation comply with the Quality Management System and specific ISO17020 and ISO17025 standard requirements

Skills / Qualifications:
  • Direct quality assurance experience, in an asbestos laboratory preferred
  • Significant administration experience also considered
  • Knowledge of ISO17025 and ISO17020 standards and UKAS documentation Lab30 and RG8
  • Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability prioritize activities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in participating in quality investigations, undertaking root cause analysis, developing corrective action plans, and ensuring the effectiveness of actions undertaken
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues and work effectively as part of a team
  • Requirement to keep up to date with changes in the quality landscape and maintain personal professional development
  • Ability to identify quality and technical problems and work with colleagues to determine effective and sustainable solutions
