Job Purpose:
The management of the international region P&L UK specific Quality team, International Quality Systems Specialist and Optimas Testing services ISO17025 capable laboratory.
Key Result Areas:
To lead the Team, in defining strategies and policies applicable to the Quality team and laboratory. Collaboration with the Global Senior Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents, Departmental Directors, and Managers to support their business responsibilities and objectives. Implementation and ongoing maintenance of applicable system approvals including ISO/ IEC 17025 To oversee compliance with the Company s Internal Audit schedules and to report and escalate any significant deviation. Where defined, to achieve and maintain third party and applicable customer accreditations as required by the Business. The interpretation of and implementation of the Company s strategies and policies into working practice and procedure. Be customer facing and represent Optimas Quality in front of customers when required. Participate and/or lead Continuous Improvement initiatives with a drive to improve Optimas processes to ultimately better service our customers. The establishment of working associations with colleagues that will facilitate the harmonization of working practices, taking best practice wherever it can be found. Where defined, to ensure the effectiveness of the Company s management systems through Management Review. Carryout mid-year and year end reviews with staff. Develop, engage, and maintain cross functional teamwork and drive communication between departments/support teams during issue resolution. Knowledge, Training, Experience and Skills required:
6-Sigma trained with a sound background/knowledge of CI methodologies, preferable Strong customer interaction & presentation skills essential Positive influencer Results focus A good negotiator and can be assertive when required A decisive leader, accountable and highly organised Entrepreneurial, highly numerate and with a strong financial awareness Strong Computer Knowledge/Skills. Proficient in use of Microsoft Office and other computer-based systems Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills A Team player; a people person, engage with your direct reports and with the cross-functional departments You must be proactive, foresee possible challenges and identify actions to resolve problems Quality Systems and Management Problem solving Technical / product knowledge / IMDS / PPAP / SPC / APQP / CP / FMEA / PF / Gage R & R This is a critical role as part of the leadership team within the UK. Technical ability (preferably knowledge of the fastener industry), as well as strong business acumen and a commercial mindset are required to succeed in this high-profile opportunity.
