Job description

Ultra Precision Control Systems (PCS) are looking for a Quality Director to join the Operations team, reporting into the VP, Operations and Supply Chain. As Quality Director, you will be the driving force behind establishing and maintaining world class quality standards across the business. You will lead a dedicated team to implement and maintain our quality management systems ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer commitments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive and robust quality management strategy aligned with business goals and objectives
  • Oversight and maintenance of quality management systems in accordance with regulatory and agreed customer standards, including CAA, EASA, FAR, AS, etc.
  • Overall responsibility for ensuring compliance with Part 21G and Part 145 quality standards
  • Oversight of Supply Chain Quality monitoring and driving improvements where necessary
  • Lead, motivate, develop and mentor a team of quality professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quality processes into product development, manufacturing and support
  • Ensure that regular audits and assessments are carried out across the business and within the supply chain to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements
  • Interface with customers and supply chain to address quality related issues
  • Oversee and report on the First Article Inspection and Material Review Board (MRB) processes
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions for non conformities
  • Monitor and report KPIs
  • Identify and co-ordinate investigations arising from Quality issues driving them to a conclusion and building the learning back into our business processes
  • Ensure that up to date mandatory training is provided across the business
  • Monitor and report KPIs
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations and emerging technologies
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Ideally educated to degree level in technical discipline
  • Extensive experience in Quality Management (Aerospace & Defence advantageous)
  • Detailed understanding of aerospace standards (eg CAA/EASA, AS9100, Part 21G and Part 145)
  • Strong leadership, analytical and communication skills with a track record for developing effective teams and
  • Experience in improving supply chain quality
  • Proven ability in the successful deployment of industry quality tools
Security Clearance:
Candidates must be able to achieve SC security clearance
