The opportunity is for a technical apprentice to join the company; the role will require the apprentice to work with experienced mentors in a Quality Assurance role for the design, manufacture, testing and packing of shower pumps.
Main Duties
What will the apprentice be doing?
The opportunity is for a technical apprentice to join the company; the role will require the apprentice to work with experienced mentors in a Quality Assurance role for the design, manufacture, testing and packing of shower pumps.
The role will incorporate aspects in quality, documentation and processes. Candidates should be team focussed and have good academic ability.
This is a hands on role and would suit someone who will work as part of a team and has a ‘can do’ attitude
The apprentice will –
- Gain experience with engineering software used on a CMM machine as well as the use of other measuring eqt.
- Gain experience in all aspects of the manufacture and testing of shower pumps within the manufacturing environment.
- Have to interact with suppliers face to face or via email so good language skills will be required.
- Repair, recording and reporting of QA issues within the business.
- Gain experience in auditing.
- Develop an understanding of the methods and requirements needed to improve quality.
- Be mentored by a strong team of qualified and experienced engineers.
- Become familiar with engineering drawings, their creation and revision, 2D & 3D CAD. Also the creation of technical documentation such as SOPs, QP’s, quality procedures etc.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Engneering Technician standard
A requirement will be for the apprentice to attend TDR Training for 30 weeks which is based in Longbenton.
