We are working in partnership with a marketing-leading manufacturing company in the rural Maidstone area who are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join their innovative and growing team. The successful Quality Engineer will have previous Quality experience within a manufacturing environment and will have been a Lead Auditor previously and have worked within an ISO9001 environment. The successful Quality Engineer will be someone who is career-focused and keen to learn as this role is to work closely with the Quality Manager, learning from him, ready to take over his role when he retires in the next 2-3 years.

The duties for this Quality Engineer will include but not be limited to:

• Developing and implementing quality standards.
• Developing and implementing quality control systems.
• Monitoring and analysing quality performance, including warranty claims.
• Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
• Collaborating with operations managers to develop and implement controls and improvements.
• Ensuring that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations.
• Investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues.
• Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.

The successful Quality Engineer will be familiar with the core quality tools, including the below:

• Control plan creation
• Statistical process control (SPC)
• FMEA
• MSA
• PPAP
• APQP
• 8d problem solving.
