Quality Engineer

A successful global company boasting a workforce of 2,500 across 5 countries. They are the leading edge of the global supply chain with their product. Due to innovative designs they have increased orders leading to a requirement in their Portadown site for a Quality Engineer.
Your new role
As Quality Engineer you will assist the Quality Manager in leading a team of quality inspectors to ensure that all products are manufactured to relevant international standard(s) and meet or exceed customer requirements. This will involve working with the Engineering and Operations teams to deliver manufacturing solutions within the required cost, quality and scheduling targets.

Hours of work:
07.00 to 16.00 (Monday to Thursday) 07.00 - 12.00 noon Friday) or
08.00 to 17.15 (Monday to Thursday) 08.00 - 12.00 noon (Friday)
What you\'ll need to succeed
Ideally you will have previous experience within an engineering manufacturing environment. You will have the ability to read and interpret engineering technical drawings and use measuring techniques. Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem solving skills and be a strong team player with a customer focus. Previous experience within an engineering manufacturing environment in a Quality Role. CMM and/or CNC knowledge would be an advantage but not essential. Previous audit experience and knowledge of AS9100. Six Sigma green belt and degree educated preferable but not essential.
