Quality Engineer
Primary Responsibilities:
- Confirm compliance with the Works Information; maintain confidence in the competencies of its supply chain; meet the requirements for LTQR handover.
- Drive a process of continuous improvement of the management system and contractual procedures.
- Ensure informed knowledge of standards affecting all quality inspection activity is maintained.
- Assist the delivery/construction teams in the root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Undertake issues/non-conformances trend analysis and provide expert reports.
- Maintain Client and sub-contractor relationships.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Willing to help support other departments when needed.
- regular travel to supply chain sites / offices
Qualification / Technical skills / Experience / Knowledge:
Essential:
- Experience working on Major Mechanical Engineering projects, preferably in the nuclear or power sector.
- Able to read technical drawings.
- A confident individual, with an ability to form effective relationships with partners.
- Hold a Valid CSCS card.
- Hold valid CSWIP 3.2 certification or PCN level 3 in weld inspection (3.1 or PCN level 2 can be considered)
Desirable:
- Hold P4 clearance.
- PCN level 2 or equivalent in DPI & MPI
- Engineering related degree or a formal qualification in Quality Management
- Extensive experience in construction and/or manufacturing within the UK Nuclear sector
- Quality subject matter expertise and proven track record in Quality Management
