A leading organisation in the high reliability engineering sector is seeking a dynamic and experienced Quality Manager to join their team in West Yorkshire. As the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for managing daily Quality and Lean operations, including quality systems, audits, continuous improvement programs, operational safety, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements. You will lead a team of dedicated professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and driving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish a quality culture by providing orientation, training, and coaching to employees.
- Enforce production, productivity, quality, customer service, safety, security, and health standards to meet quality standards.
- Resolve operational problems and identify business process improvements.
- Control product quality inspections and resolve product quality standard applications.
- Provide management planning information by collecting, analysing, and summarizing product quality data and trends.
- Lead product and process audits and manage the corrective/preventive action system.
- Consolidate, analyse, and report key quality metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure Quality standards correlate with corporate and industry standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Professional experience in Quality Management, ideally in a high reliability, Engineering or Manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing and quality core tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, MSA, Five Why, 8D, Shainin, and/or DEMAIC).
- Proven track record of leading and developing a team of engineers.
