The Role

Reporting to the Brand Quality Manager, you will uphold high quality and food safety standards for food and household categories. Key responsibilities for this role will include:

• Monitoring product quality complaints and develop Quality Improvement plans to reduce complaints
• Collating finished product quality assessment data, reporting and tracking improvements where required and ensuring improvement plans are implemented
• Conducting new supplier approval audits and existing supplier visits, ensuring close out of report actions
• Reviewing appropriate legislation and attendance of retail association meeting outputs, supporting the Quality Manager to ensure that key information and applications are communicated internally 
• Assisting with supplier improvement, and striving towards effective collaboration with key stakeholders that focuses on climate, environmental and sustainable initiatives.
• Ensuring responsible sourcing standards are met with existing and future suppliers.

The Person

This role would suit a Quality Technologist looking for that step up into a broad, dynamic role.

Educated to a Degree level in food science, along with HACCP Level 3 and TACCP qualifications are essential. A track record of assisting with external audits is a must, plus being highly skilful at root cause analysis and able to work with a spectrum of products.

Your attention to detail and organisation skills will be second to none, using these to drive quality improvement. Impressive communication skills are essential, as you’ll help to build collaborative relationships internally and externally, right through the supply chain to senior managers.

The role requires travel so a clean UK drivers licence is desirable.
