Job description

About the Role

The role of the Auditor (Quality Assurance) in Children's Social Care is centered on ensuring and enhancing the quality of practice within the organization. This involves conducting thorough audits and meticulously documenting findings, preparing comprehensive reports encompassing both quantitative and qualitative aspects. These reports are intended for presentation to senior managers, fostering transparency and accountability in addressing any identified issues. The overarching objective is to elevate the standard of practice by implementing the Quality Assurance Framework. Through proactive measures, the Auditor aims to contribute to the continuous improvement of work quality across the organization, ultimately leading to more effective outcomes for children and families involved with Children's Social Care.

 

About You

  • Thorough understanding and ability to follow guidelines for compliance with Health and Safety at Work, Data Protection, and other statutory requirements
  • Familiarity with health and safety aspects including first aid and manual handling
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials and relevant processes/legislation
  • Proficiency in IT, including experience with electronic integrated children's systems like MOSAIC or similar platforms
  • Commitment to promoting and implementing Equal Opportunities policies
  • Social Work qualification and active registration with Social Work England (SWE)
  • Evidence of post-qualification continuing professional development
  • Comprehensive knowledge and application of relevant legislation, regulations, and statutory guidance related to children, young people, and their parents/carers
  • Understanding of national issues pertinent to looked-after children and child protection
  • Knowledge of research and evidence-based models of best practice
